Welcome to the homepage of the Kansas City Dermatological Society, the longest running organization of its kind in the KC Metro area. Our vibrant society includes over 30 dermatologists in private practice, group practices, and university-affiliated physicians. Our mission is to provide members with an opportunity to review recent advances in the Dermatologic literature, attend lectures by nationally-renowned researchers/clinicians in the field, provide a forum to present challenging cases, and encourage increased interaction between Dermatologists in our region. KCDS meetings occur on the 3rd Thursday of every month (with the exception of February, August and September, when there is no meeting) in 2018. Members can claim up to 36 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ by attending KCDS meetings. Attendance at the monthly meeting is welcome to all, but CME credit is available only for KCDS members. Meet our guest faculty
Gary C. Doolittle, MD, Melanoma Treatment
Dr. Doolittle specializes in melanoma and sarcoma malignancies, oncology and second opinions in cancer. His clinical interests and research focus include clinical trials for the treatment of melanoma and the use of telemedicine technology in the care of the cancer patient. Most recently he has launched a study using telemedicine technology for innovative cancer clinical trials.

KCDS is pleased to offer active members of the Society the benefit of reviewing or receiving CME credit for guest speaker lectures via our online learning portal should the member be unable to attend the live activity or would simply enjoy reviewing the lecture.
Any member can view past materials but only members who did not attend the live presentation can claim credit by completing the online course within 4 weeks of the live lecture date. INMED will double check to assure membership payment has been received and will also ensure credit at the live activity hasn’t been applied prior to issuing your online course credit.

|Dr. Chain is Board Certified in Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed her residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was board certified in 2013. Her professional memberships include The American Academy of Dermatology, Alpha Omega Alpha, and the Kansas City Dermatological Society.|
|Dr. Hocker is dual board certified through the American Board of Dermatology for both general dermatology and dermatopathology, and is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. Dr. Hocker attended Yale University where upon graduation, he was awarded the highly prestigious Churchill Fellowship, which afforded him the opportunity to pursue research at the University of Cambridge, where he received his Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry. He then attended medical school at Harvard University, where he graduated with Honors for his research on melanoma.|
Dr. Wang-Weinman obtained her M.D. degree from Beijing Medical University in China. She obtained her Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from the University of Texas and did Internal Medicine and Dermatology Residency training at KU Medical Center. She has an interest in skin cancer and other systemic diseases with dermatological manifestations.
This program is expected to attract approximately 50 learners, mainly dermatologists in private practice, group practices, and university-affiliated physicians.
